Good quiet family campground. Clean washrooms. Trailer dump was not good but there is a nice one across the street in the visitors centre.
Horrible experience! We were never informed when we paid for 2 months that we can not be refunded only after staying 3 days! They won't give us anything back! They being the managers, Lisa- Hitlers grand-daughter and Dwayne (the managers), although Lisa is just a glorified janitor who is definitely a member of the Gestapo! And they are trying to kick us out after years of camping and spensi g money here! I have worked in provincial and federal parks for many years which use world class reservation systems and refunds are part of their policies. They even told us that if someone was to have a heart attack or die they still wouldn't refund the money and they would even rent the same exact site out the next day. That's disgusting! Its unbelievably rude, creepy, and fraudulent! Nasty no-good shysters! Soooooo to quickly explain the reason they wanna kick us out was we leaked a small amount of gray water. We are paying for a full service site and not getting full service. We couldn't wait any longer to dump as they have a curfew at 11pm and not allowed to Anyone with half a brain would know 2 dogs peeing and pooping on the site produce more waste than a little soapy water does. We live on a river back home that is used for the town's drinking water and see tons of garbage floating through it every day! We have camped in Jasper and have seen people emptying their gray water on the grass. I know it's not legal and morally right, but there are millions of worse things to dump on the ground than dish soap. When people camp in tents they do it all the time. Just be very careful if you stay here! She will watch you like a hawk! She will even turn your power off like she just did to us. If you want a relaxed, fun stay do not stay here. If you play the music or TV too loud 1 minute past curfew you may get evicted. If you have too many people standing around on the site holding pop, you may get evicted. If you take too long in the washrooms, you may get evicted. It's just not something I would risk if the money can't be reclaimed. I will also tell everyone I know, never stay at the lions campground in Whitecourt. She will get what's coming to her. Karma will prevail! And I'm gonna make sure it does! This isn't over! Bring it on Lisa!
Stopped here for lunch and we're able to watch deer. Greeted by friendly staff and enjoyed my stay
Showers and bathrooms are the cleanest I have ever seen at a campground. Friendly staff and very helpful. Nice spot to stay a couple of nights while passing through. Very accommodating. Make sure to hit rotary park and the riverslides during your stay in the summer! Completely free! Some spots are fairly noisy as it's by the highway. Could use better highway signage though. We had to go turn around and come back.
Noisy campground ever. Right next to 4 lane highway. At bottom of hill where most big rigs use Jake brakes on. Sites in trees are nice. Sites out in open are poorly laid out.
