Pros-Close to townFree showersOnsite propane refillsCons-Outhouse full to the seat before emptyShowers are very cramped and very strange setup (one shower curtain for two shower stalls)Small sitesSome sites only have 120v/15 amp powerUPDATE-Changed to one star after the owners comments are blatant lies. Outhouse was completely full; this isnt a big deal and it happens (especially after a busy weekend) however when I went to tell the owner he seemed annoyed he had to bring in a truck and that he would do it tomorrow (I told him this at 9 am). I also never complained about the smell or the fact that it was a portable potty. The flush toilets are probably a 5 minute walk -not a big deal- but with two toddlers 10 or 12 trips a day gets old.120v/15amp power isnt a con however when you have a large camper you expect a full service site to be 30 amp. Again this wasnt a big deal as I never tripped the breaker however people should know what to expect. Also two showers behind one curtain again isnt a big deal and if you want to wait 10 minutes for the single shower to open up its great. It just feels a little weird to peek behind a shower curtain to check if both of the double showers are full. Doesnt have anything to do with being shy.
This place is very close to the highway, you will hear alot of traffic. The staff are friendly and courteous. Its easy to get in and out of with travel trailer. We would come back but try to get a lot away from the highway.
The best campground to stay at, very friendly staff, well organized and very laid back. I recommend this to anyone working in town or just for the weekend getaway.
My husband stays there while he works. We went to visit him on the weekend with my kids. I wasn't expecting that much because it's somewhat small but it was quiet, clean and the kids spent the whole weekend at the playground! We also walked to the river and hung out. It may actually have been the most relaxing weekend we've had camping all summer.
A decent campground , close to the boat launch . Bring lots of mosquito repellent your close to a lot of stagnant water . Decent distance to town amenities
