Once a year we pack up the kids and drive the 90 mind from Edmonton just to visit this park. The park is fantastic its comprised of a spray park for kids, a huge dry park, a bring your own tube tube ride and a pond for swimming and paddle boarding. Large fields provide lots of space for anything else you might care to do and walking trails that are paved for the more leisurely inclined.
Amazing place. Family friendly fun for kids 2-15 years old. So much space. Water slide is awesome. Just a fantastic spot for an hour or to set up for the day. Definitely worth the weekend camping trip to come visit it.
Awesome place to take kids for the day. Go early if you want parking. Recommend life jackets for children as no lifeguards. Almost witnessed a drowning thankfully enough people around were able to save the youth (17 or 18 yrs of age)
This place is amazing. Bring your own tube, and bring an air pump to blow it up. Tubes that keep your bottom off the ground are best - the giant inflatables don't work very well on the slides as they tend to cause float jams :-)The splash park, slides, lake area, and playground were all in great condition. There are now two bathroom buildings, which helps with congestion. Expect a crowd on warmer days, especially weekends.
Just an incredible place. The park is huge, the spray park is good, and the water slide is awesome. When we visit our family in Whitecourt a trip to Rotary Park is always at the top of our kids list. I wish more communities would invest in parks like this. There is ample parking and the facilities are good (but can get a little dirty when it's busy). The concession is fairly priced.
